Hoist by His Own Petard: Sharpei's plan hinges on her belief that she can implant her mind seamlessly into Stellar's body.Happy Ending Override: After saving the Star Confederation in the previous game, Roger is stripped of his rank and thrown back to a simple janitor. ![]() It is actually working as copy protection, and CD-ROMs are shockingly easy to copy. ![]() Originally Roger could pick up a comic book CD-ROM that contained the information needed to assemble it correctly, but the comic book was never added into the game and the information was added to the game's manual as a cheap method of copy protection, despite the game being made in a time when the practice had since stopped due to CD-ROMs being harder to copy off of. In order to get off Polysorbate LX, you need to fix a homing beacon in order to contact Stellar. Guide Dang It!: The infamous homing beacon puzzle."Fantastic Voyage" Plot: Roger must enter Stellar's body at one point to destroy the nanotechnology that plagues her.Easily Detachable Robot Parts: Roger borrows an arm and an eyeball from his android friend Circuit Sydney to solve a couple of puzzles.These include Space Quest IV's in-game hint book, the remote control to the Star Generator, the Labion Terror Beast mating whistle, and Roger's employment rejection letter from Sierra On-Line. Continuity Nod: The table in Roger's room contains various items from past Space Quest games, minus Space Quest V.Comedic Underwear Exposure: When Roger uses the ship's vacuum-elevator transportation system all of his clothes always end up sucked off until he gets to where he was going.You carry it around for most of the game and have it returned to you multiple times, only for it to be the one thing that can finish off Sharpei in the finale. Chekhov's Gun: The seemingly useless rotting fish in Roger's pocket is both this and a Brick Joke.Body Uploading: When Roger plugs in a Cyberspace jack and wears its attached helmet, his whole body teleports into cyberspace.Big Bad: Sharpei, an old woman who plans to perform Grand Theft Me on Stellar Santiago.Roger: Oh, uh, I was just mumbling to myself. ![]()
